Misconceptions about bloggers

I have been blogging for just over 2 years now and time has really flew by. When I decided to blog I had no idea about the online community of bloggers etc. The blogging community is one of the nicest communities to be a apart of. To non bloggers it seems as if bloggers 'have it all' and there are many misconceptions surrounding bloggers. In this post I will be talking about the myths vs reality
Blogging is easy Myth Blogging is really easy, how hard can it be to take a few photo's and write a post about something Reality Blogging is not easy at all! There are so many aspects that go into blogging that non bloggers don't even think about. It is also very time consuming. You have need: Create your own site - this is not easy at all! Trying the product out yourself so you can review it - this can take several days if not weeks depending on what the product is. Take photo and edit photo's - this is the worst part for me as my photography is not the best and my editing …

Beauty Dupes

As a beauty blogger and a makeup fan in general I love trying out new products. In this post I will be talking about high street dupes for high end products. Who doesn't like finding out what products are similar? I know I do.
Tarte Shape tape concealer (Fair Beige) £28 Makeup Revolution conceal and define (C2) £4 Tarte shape tape is one of my all time favourite concealers as. Unfortunately it's hard to get hold of in the UK and it's a lot more expensive in the UK compared to the US. Makeup Revolution have recently launched conceal and define concealer. Which has a big hype surrounding this concealer primarily as it's a dupe for Tarte shape tape. The colours aren't dupes as my local store never had C1 (which is the lightest MUR shade) Similarities Full coverage Doesn't crease Lasts all day on the skin Packaging is similar (expect MUR bottle and wand is shorter) Wands are similar Formula similar Covers dark circles and blemishes
Rimmel lasting finish concealer (010 Porce…

Essence Winter Wonderland: makeup & nails

Essence cosmetics is one of my favourite high street makeup brands. As the products are really good quality and affordable. I kindly got sent some products to feature* from the Winter Wonderland range. When you think of winter you think of cooler colours such as silvers etc.
Moonlight eye cream eyeshadow 01 Angel The formula of this eyeshadow is unlike any other cream eyeshadow I have tried. It's a lot more softer to touch with a powder texture because of that I found it a lot easier to blend without it going patchy. You can sheer the colour out my applying it with your finger or for a more intense colour you can apply it with a brush. Once applied to the eyes it doesn't crease (I have hooded eyes) and it stays put. I have also used it sheer on the brow bone for a strong highlight colour.
Prismatic highlighter 10 be a unicorn Firstly, I really like the name of this product but let's face it who doesn't like unicorns? This highlighter creates a iridescent glow on the skin. I…
