Technic Cosmetics Review

Technic Cosmetics* are an affordable makeup brand that do really good quality products. I was asked whether I wanted to review any items in particular. These are the items that I picked from the website as they interested me the most.
If you have followed me for a while you will know I love pigmented lipglosses, contour and shimmery eyeshadows. So it was easy to see why I was drawn to these items on the website.

Colour Fix Pressed powder contour palette
I am a huge fan of contouring and highlighting. Especially contouring as it can alter your facial features. When it comes to contour I tend to use a lot of it as I like my face to look defined. When this palette came I was really excited to use it.
None of these powders have shade names but this is how I use them on my face.
Highlighting shades
It comes with 4 highlighting shades:
1st: matte highlight
2nd: 'Banana powder shade' ideal for setting your under eye area
3rd: This is a shimmery highlight so ideal to use on your cheek bones, cupids bow, brow bone etc.
4th:  All over face powder.

I am not a big fan of shimmery highlighters (I feel like I'm the only girl who isn't obsessed with the highlighted look) but I do like a matte highlight to 'brighten' my under eye area.
I am really impressed with all of the highlighting shades in this palette. They are really pigmented, easy to apply and sets your makeup.
I have a pale skin tone ( I am the lightest in the all foundation shades) and these work well with my skin tone.

Contour shades
It comes with 4 contouring shades.
All of these shades are matte but as you can see from the swatches above they start of 'light' and build up to a darker shade. This is good as it works for all skin tones.
I have used all of these contouring shades on my pale skin and they work really well. For the darker shades you just need to use a light hand.
They blend out really nicely on the skin and you can also use them as eyeshadow. They can be used to contour your eye socket or in the crease.

Bronzing eyeshadow palette
Colour Max
I am a really big fan of shimmery eyeshadows. As they make my eyes stand out a lot more. Both palette don't have any matte shades in which doesn't bother me.
Both palettes are ideal if you like neutral shades. These palettes are ideal for a day to night look. As you can create a natural everyday look and then add darker colours for a night look.
All of these shades are highly pigmented (in the swatches above I swiped once with my finger) I have hooded eyes and they don't crease on me (even without using eye primer)
I have used this palettes a lot and I get compliments on my eyes when I wear them. Especially in the sun as the shimmer sparkles even more.

Color Max lipglosses

French Kiss
Feeling Flush
Sneaky Peak
Comparison of the shades
I used to be a huge lipgloss fan years ago as I like my lips to look glossy. The only downside to lipglosses is that they don't tend to be that pigmented and don't last long on the lips. That's until I tried these which are now a key staple in my makeup bag. All of the shades are highly pigmented, glossy and long lasting on the lips ( even with eating and drinking) On average they last 4-5 hours on the lips before you need to reapply.
Long lasting
No 'sticky' feeling on the lips
When they wear off they don't leave an awful line on the inner part of your lips
Don't bleed/smudge

My overall opinion
I can remember using Technic products years ago when I first started getting into makeup and then stopped using them. My first product by them was actually a concealer palette that I used to love. The brand has developed a lot since then creating much better quality products and better packaging.
Technic is a great affordable brand for those who are just getting into makeup and want affordable, good quality products. Or for those who are already into makeup and want to experiment with products. These products have exceeded my expectations. All of these products sit on my makeup desk so that I can reach for them easily whilst getting ready in the morning.

Have you tried Technic products before?

Max Factor: Smooth Miracle Primer and Miracle foundation review

I was kindly sent these products to review
Max Factor is such an iconic brand that has been around for years. I can remember Nana using it and even my Mam. When I got the chance to try out some Max Factor makeup I was really happy (infact I screamed inside) When I opened the package I was really happy with what was inside. The Smooth Miracle Primer and Miracle Touch Foundation. Both products claim to smooth the skin textures. Also, these products are advertised on TV and the models skin looks flawless. Anything that claims to make your skin look flawless and smooth I will try. As you all know I love a flawless, smooth and full coverage base.
Smooth Miracle Primer I 'secretly' hoped that this would have been one of the products in the package, as I really wanted to try it out. So when I saw this product I was thrilled. The bottom picture above is the primer using a small pump and on the right (which you can't see) it is blended out. I applied the primer all over my face and I…

W7 makeup review and swatches

W7 are such an affordable brand with great quality products. They do a wide selection of different products and shades. I kindly got sent these products to review. When my packaged arrived I was really happy to see what was in the box. When I opened my parcel I wasn't disappointed as each of these products look amazing. In this blog post I will be sharing my opinions on the products and swatches. I have previously reviewed W7 products here. In that blog post I reviewed W7 prime and glow illuminating primer, Genius feather light foundation, Kiss me lip plumping gloss and cheeky chap multi blush. W7 do not test on animals.
W7 Powder Puff When I saw this in the box I was really excited as I've wanted to try this for a while. Also it is pink which I love as pink is my favourite colour.
The powder puff is latex free
Before I use this sponge I dampen it as foundation, concealer blends out better when doing so.
To create the flawless finish I bounce the sponge off my skin it also stops y…
