Mothers Day Gift Guide

This Mothers Day gift guide is in collaboration with Chemist.co.uk*. They are an online website that sell a variety of things such as makeup, skincare, sweets, perfume etc.  I was allowed to pick anything that I wanted from the site. This is what I came up with, all of this came just under £50! Which is a bargain in my opinion considering I picked 15 items from the website. If you are on a budget this Mother's Day or unsure about what to get your Mum. Then I would recommend this site as there are some really good bargains.

Makeup
What woman doesn't like to wear makeup from time to time. It's a nice treat to glam yourself up whether you like to wear makeup in general or just to feel good.
These are the makeup items that I picked from the site.

Max Factor
Pan Stick
Crème Puff
Pressed Powder
Mastertouch Concealer
LA Girl Pro conceal
Sunkissed
Bronzed Architect palette

Max Factor is an iconic brand that has been around for years. I can remember this brand when I was younger and I still use this brand now. These Max Factor makeup picks are ideal if your Mum likes to wear affordable but good quality makeup. It's a brand that she can know and trust.

LA Girl is a new makeup brand that has become hugely popular recently and this concealer is often raved about. This concealer claims to be full coverage and to hide any imperfections on the skin. It's also high definition, so you will look picture perfect in photographs.

Sunkissed Bronzed Architect palette, this contains everything that you need for your face makeup. Contour - to make any areas of your face look slimmer. Bronzer - to add warmth back into your skin and to fake that summers glow. Blush - to make you look healthier and Highlight - for glowy skin.

These makeup products are compact enough for any woman's makeup bag and a key staple.

Nail Varnish
Jessica
Copper
VIP Room
Harlequin
Radiant
Out all night

Nail varnishes are the ideal pamper treat. It's nice to take time out and paint your nails. These are the nail varnishes that I picked are a mix of pinks, coppers and blues. You can't go wrong with these shades, whatever age your Mum is.

I decided to experiment with two of the shades and came up with this nail design. I used Harlequin (pink) all over the nail and Out all night (blue) dots. This is a really quick and easy nail design to create. These Jessica nail varnishes are highly pigmented and dry fast.

Simple Baby wipes
Baby wipes are the ideal quick solution to take your make up off, if you can't be bothered with your usual makeup removing routine. These wipes I have used in the past and they are by far the best to remove makeup. They are ideal if you have sensitive skin and removes all traces of makeup.

Garnier
Instensive 7 Days hand cream
Mum's tend to be busy day to day so this is the perfect treat. A hand lotion is ideal to use especially in this cold weather to ensure your hands remain soft. This hand lotion is fast absorbing which is a bonus instead of having to wait for it to dry.

Blistex
Intensive Moisture cherry
This is something she can use everyday and it only takes a few seconds to use. This is a good product to use to add moisture back into lips or to stop them getting dry. It's nice and compact aswell so easy to put in a handbag etc.

Lollipops
If your Mum has a sweet tooth these might be ideal for her. You can never go wrong with sweets for Mother's Day. These are in the classic strawberry flavour.

My Overall Opinion
I hope that you have found this Mother's Day gift guide helpful. You can get a lot for your money on the website. I am really happy with these Mother's Day picks. Especially the nail varnishes as they are really pigmented, even after one coat.

Everything 5 pounds lookbook

Everything 5 pounds is an online retailer that sell clothes, shoes, jackets etc all for £5. There are so many choices on the website to pick from. I was given the opportunity to pick 9 items from the website to feature on my blog. With that I've decided to create a lookbook of all of the clothes. I am really happy with them all and ideal to dress either up or down. I decided to pick 7 dresses as they are mainly what I wear and are really versatile. Shoe wise I went with a classic black pair of heels and a black wedge.
For Reference I am 5ft 4 so the length of the dresses will differ on you depending on your height. All the dresses that I ordered are a size 8. All of the dresses are true to size and accurate. Same with the shoes they are true to size.
All the clothes in this post should still be available to buy online. The clothes on Everything 5 pounds tend to go out of stock quickly.

Max Factor: Smooth Miracle Primer and Miracle foundation review

I was kindly sent these products to review
Max Factor is such an iconic brand that has been around for years. I can remember Nana using it and even my Mam. When I got the chance to try out some Max Factor makeup I was really happy (infact I screamed inside) When I opened the package I was really happy with what was inside. The Smooth Miracle Primer and Miracle Touch Foundation. Both products claim to smooth the skin textures. Also, these products are advertised on TV and the models skin looks flawless. Anything that claims to make your skin look flawless and smooth I will try. As you all know I love a flawless, smooth and full coverage base.
Smooth Miracle Primer I 'secretly' hoped that this would have been one of the products in the package, as I really wanted to try it out. So when I saw this product I was thrilled. The bottom picture above is the primer using a small pump and on the right (which you can't see) it is blended out. I applied the primer all over my face and I…
