Essence Nail care review

I kindly got sent these products to review*

Essence is one of my favourite brands for makeup as they are really affordable and good quality products. They also have a nail varnish range which has something for everyone. Whether you like neutral toned nail varnishes, bold nail varnishes or glitter nail varnishes Essence has them categories nailed (pun intended).

Recently Essence have now expanded that range to bring out nail care to ensure your nails are in the best condition. Having a good base always makes applying products easier and looks better. They kindly sent me: sos nail detox regenerating base coat, colour & care strengthening nail polish and a nail file

Multipurpose Nail file
With this multipurpose nail file you basically get 4 products in one. Which is handy if you don't want to buy lots of nail tools or confused about what nail file etc does what. With this nail file it has steps on for you to follow and what that step does.
Step 1: Shorten
You can file your nail down to the desired length that you want. This isn't abrasive or damages your nails as long as you are gentle and go in one direction.
Step 2: Shape
This allows you to shape your nails into your desired shape. Examples: oval, square, pointed etc.
Step 3: Smooth
This step allows you to remove any ridges that you may have on your nails to ensure your nail polish applies smoothly. I buff step 3 all over my nails
Step 4: Polish
I buff this all over my nails and it adds a slight natural shine to my nails.

SOS nail detox
Base coats are important to use on your nails as it acts as a protective barrier. The main purpose of using a base coat is to stop your nail polish staining your nails. It also makes your nail polish last longer without chipping.
The main ingredients in this base coat: algae extracts and vitamin B5. These ingredients supports the natural moisture content of the nails.
You can use this alone as it gives a nice glossy finish on your nails.

Colour & Care strengthening nail polish
03 Happy Nails
Excuse the messy application. This picture is straight after I've painted my nails.
6 Days later
These are my natural nails.
This nail polish I am really impressed with as I love the colour and how easy it is to apply.
This is the perfect baby pink shade (pink is my favourite colour) unlike other pale nail polishes this applied really easily. The brush applies the colour evenly on the nails and is opaque after 2 coats.
As you can see from the pictures above the nail polish still looks the same 6 days later (no chipping) which is really impressive in my opinion.
The nail polishes uses natural ingredients.

My overall opinion of the products
Overall, I am really impressed with the products. Essence is one of my favourite brands and I talk about them a lot on my blog/social media.
I am really impressed with the nail care range especially the colour & care polish as 6 days later no chipping!

Max Factor: Smooth Miracle Primer and Miracle foundation review

I was kindly sent these products to review
Max Factor is such an iconic brand that has been around for years. I can remember Nana using it and even my Mam. When I got the chance to try out some Max Factor makeup I was really happy (infact I screamed inside) When I opened the package I was really happy with what was inside. The Smooth Miracle Primer and Miracle Touch Foundation. Both products claim to smooth the skin textures. Also, these products are advertised on TV and the models skin looks flawless. Anything that claims to make your skin look flawless and smooth I will try. As you all know I love a flawless, smooth and full coverage base.
Smooth Miracle Primer I 'secretly' hoped that this would have been one of the products in the package, as I really wanted to try it out. So when I saw this product I was thrilled. The bottom picture above is the primer using a small pump and on the right (which you can't see) it is blended out. I applied the primer all over my face and I…

W7 are such an affordable brand with great quality products. They do a wide selection of different products and shades. I kindly got sent these products to review. When my packaged arrived I was really happy to see what was in the box. When I opened my parcel I wasn't disappointed as each of these products look amazing. In this blog post I will be sharing my opinions on the products and swatches. I have previously reviewed W7 products here. In that blog post I reviewed W7 prime and glow illuminating primer, Genius feather light foundation, Kiss me lip plumping gloss and cheeky chap multi blush. W7 do not test on animals.
W7 Powder Puff When I saw this in the box I was really excited as I've wanted to try this for a while. Also it is pink which I love as pink is my favourite colour.
The powder puff is latex free
Before I use this sponge I dampen it as foundation, concealer blends out better when doing so.
To create the flawless finish I bounce the sponge off my skin it also stops y…
