Christmas Tag 2016

This is my first Christmas post for 2016. I know people say this every year but this year has went by so fast! I can still remember last Christmas.
The lovely Rebecca from Staticnova tagged me to do this post.

What's your favourite holiday movie(s)?
This is such a hard question as I don't really have a favourite Christmas movie as I like so many. The ones I do tend to watch every year are Home Alone and Meet the Fockers.
Home Alone is one of those classic movies that you can watch all the time and it never gets boring. Considering he is a child he can take care of himself and 'protect' the house well!
Meet the Fockers I'm not sure if that is really classed as a Christmas movie but I love how funny it is. If you like comedy Christmas films that isn't cheesy etc I recommend this one.

What are your favourite Christmas colours?
I really like red and gold. The classic Christmas colours. These two shades go really well with each other. I also love these shades on my nails and will wear them throughout December.
Red is very festive for this time of year as when you think of Christmas, you think of the colour red.
Gold is very festive and glittery etc. It adds the sparkle and 'glamour' into Christmas (if that makes sense)

Do you like to stay in your PJ's or dress up for Christmas?
Opening presents I always wear my pj's but then once the presents are open I get fully dressed up.
I always over dress for Christmas the more glitzy the outfit the better! Even though I stay in the house all day I love to wear a full face of makeup. This is the perfect chance to try out new makeup if I've gotten any.

If you could only buy one person a present this year who would it be?
My Mam

Do you open your presents Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
I open my presents on Christmas morning. This is something I have always done and will continue to do. I like waking up on Christmas morning, going down stairs, opening presents with Christmas music on.
I couldn't imagine opening them on Christmas Eve and have nothing to open on Christmas day.

Have you ever built a ginger bread house?
I think so when I was very little. I think it was one of those that came in a set and you had icing etc to decorate it with

What do you like to do on your Christmas break?
I love wrapping presents! I'm not the best at wrapping and find it 'slightly' annoying especially when the tape doesn't stick. Or if you're half way through wrapping a present only to realise there is a rip in the paper.
I also really like going out shopping (although I do this throughout the year) there is just something about Christmas time that makes it better. The atmosphere is generally a lot better and all the shops etc are festive
I also really like blogging at Christmas as the posts tend to be festive. Also reading other people's festive blog posts. My favourite posts tend to be 'What I got for Christmas' just because I am nosey and like to see what people get. This also gives me idea's on what to buy if I see anything that I like.

Any Christmas wishes?
So many! There are so many things that I want to achieve next year but I don't set myself goals. I always aim to achieve the best of my ability.
There are many wishes that I want to achieve both regarding my blog, uni etc.

Favourite Christmas smell?
Yankee Candle Black Cherry. This smells amazing!

Favourite Christmas meal or treat?
This is such a hard question for me as I'm a fussy eater so I tend to eat the same foods all the time.
But at Christmas I do have a Christmas dinner my favourite part is the stuffing.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this tag! I haven't done a tag on my blog in ages.

Everything 5 pounds lookbook

Everything 5 pounds is an online retailer that sell clothes, shoes, jackets etc all for £5. There are so many choices on the website to pick from. I was given the opportunity to pick 9 items from the website to feature on my blog. With that I've decided to create a lookbook of all of the clothes. I am really happy with them all and ideal to dress either up or down. I decided to pick 7 dresses as they are mainly what I wear and are really versatile. Shoe wise I went with a classic black pair of heels and a black wedge.
For Reference I am 5ft 4 so the length of the dresses will differ on you depending on your height. All the dresses that I ordered are a size 8. All of the dresses are true to size and accurate. Same with the shoes they are true to size.
All the clothes in this post should still be available to buy online. The clothes on Everything 5 pounds tend to go out of stock quickly.

Max Factor: Smooth Miracle Primer and Miracle foundation review

I was kindly sent these products to review
Max Factor is such an iconic brand that has been around for years. I can remember Nana using it and even my Mam. When I got the chance to try out some Max Factor makeup I was really happy (infact I screamed inside) When I opened the package I was really happy with what was inside. The Smooth Miracle Primer and Miracle Touch Foundation. Both products claim to smooth the skin textures. Also, these products are advertised on TV and the models skin looks flawless. Anything that claims to make your skin look flawless and smooth I will try. As you all know I love a flawless, smooth and full coverage base.
Smooth Miracle Primer I 'secretly' hoped that this would have been one of the products in the package, as I really wanted to try it out. So when I saw this product I was thrilled. The bottom picture above is the primer using a small pump and on the right (which you can't see) it is blended out. I applied the primer all over my face and I…
