Essence makeup: Festive Challenge and Review

I was kindly sent these items*

If you have read my blog for a while now, you will know that Essence is one of my favourite high street makeup brands. Essence products are really affordable and really good quality. In this post I got sent some products to do a Festive Challenge with. Combined with other Essence products that I already own. I created a look.
In this post I will be giving mini reviews of the products, swatches and at the end the finished look.

I love extreme Volume Mascara

I have sensitive eyes and some mascaras irritate my eyes really badly. This one never, it's really comfortable to wear (it doesn't feel like you are wearing mascara) it doesn't flake throughout the day and it's easy to remove.
I really like this mascara as it adds volume to my lashes and its a true black mascara.
I already own mascara and have previously reviewed it on my blog. The review above is what I said in another blog post.
An update on the mascara I still do really like it and it's one of my favourites to use from the high street. As it adds volume and separates your lashes. My opinion on this mascara hasn't changed from before.

Mosaic Blush
20 All you need is Pink
In this blush you get 3 different shades that you can mix together. In the swatch above I have mixed all 3 of the shades. This blush is shimmery and gives a nice sheen when applied on the cheeks. This colour adds a fresh healthy colour to your cheeks. This blush is buildable so you can either apply a sheer amount or build it up. This is a nice everyday pink shade.

Long lasting lip liner
06 A girls dream
I am a huge fan of Essence lip liners (I own all of the £1 lip liners) they are better than some high end lip liners. This long lasting lip liner is no different.
This lip liner is more creamy to apply to the lips and is retractable (so you don't need a sharpener).

I am really impressed with the long lasting lip liner range. The shade they sent me is the ideal pink to go with most pink lipstick shades. If you have followed me for a while you know I love lip products (they are my favourite makeup item to buy)

The Gel Nail polish
10 True Love
I have tried Essence Gel nail polishes in the past and they are long lasting on the nails. They don't chip for about a week and apply evenly on the nails.
As it was a festive challenge I decided to try to do some nail art using the nail varnish. I created this design yesterday (Tuesday) and for my first attempt at nail art I am happy.
I used this red shade on all of my nails except the thumb.

Makeup Look
This is the makeup look I created using all of Essence makeup. The only products that I used that aren't Essence is the bronzer and black eye liner (as I don't own them products from Essence)

All about matt foundation and Soft and Natural foundation
I mixed these two foundations together to create my perfect shade. I really like these two foundations mixed together
All about matt concealer
I applied this on my under eyes to get rid of my dark circles and on any blemishes
Mattifying powder
This set the foundation/concealer in place
Mosaic blush
Applied on my cheeks
I love stage eyeshadow primer
Applied all over my lid to make the eyeshadow last longer and to get rid of discolouration on my eye lid
2 in 1 eyeshadow and liner waterproof:
06 She's got the mauve
Applied this all over my lid
The Metals:
02 Frozen Toffee
Applied this ontop of the previous product. This added a sheen onto my eye lid and more dimension.
All about the nudes eyeshadow palette
Used the lightest colour on my brow bone and tear duct
Mid tone shade as a transitional colour
Dark brown in my crease and outer v
I also used the dark brown shade on my lower lash line
I love extreme volume mascara
I only used one layer of this
Long lasting lip liner:
A girls dream
Used this to line my lips and fill them in
Matt matt matt longlasting lipgloss:
03 Girl of today
This is the perfect shade to match the lip liner

Max Factor: Smooth Miracle Primer and Miracle foundation review

I was kindly sent these products to review
Max Factor is such an iconic brand that has been around for years. I can remember Nana using it and even my Mam. When I got the chance to try out some Max Factor makeup I was really happy (infact I screamed inside) When I opened the package I was really happy with what was inside. The Smooth Miracle Primer and Miracle Touch Foundation. Both products claim to smooth the skin textures. Also, these products are advertised on TV and the models skin looks flawless. Anything that claims to make your skin look flawless and smooth I will try. As you all know I love a flawless, smooth and full coverage base.
Smooth Miracle Primer I 'secretly' hoped that this would have been one of the products in the package, as I really wanted to try it out. So when I saw this product I was thrilled. The bottom picture above is the primer using a small pump and on the right (which you can't see) it is blended out. I applied the primer all over my face and I…

W7 makeup review and swatches

W7 are such an affordable brand with great quality products. They do a wide selection of different products and shades. I kindly got sent these products to review. When my packaged arrived I was really happy to see what was in the box. When I opened my parcel I wasn't disappointed as each of these products look amazing. In this blog post I will be sharing my opinions on the products and swatches. I have previously reviewed W7 products here. In that blog post I reviewed W7 prime and glow illuminating primer, Genius feather light foundation, Kiss me lip plumping gloss and cheeky chap multi blush. W7 do not test on animals.
W7 Powder Puff When I saw this in the box I was really excited as I've wanted to try this for a while. Also it is pink which I love as pink is my favourite colour.
The powder puff is latex free
Before I use this sponge I dampen it as foundation, concealer blends out better when doing so.
To create the flawless finish I bounce the sponge off my skin it also stops y…
