Makeup and Clothes haul

Yesterday I decided to go out shopping. I wasn't after anything apart from a new Urban Decay lip gloss and as always I ended up buying a lot more. I have officially broken my 'no buy January'. As you can see from the picture above the rest of the makeup that I have bought is from the high street. Some products I have used before and are repurchases whereas some of the others looked interesting so I thought that I would try them.
For clothes I had no intention of buying anything but a new local store has opened in my city so I went it and it was so cheap it was hard to resist.

Makeup

Urban Decay high colour lip gloss
Scandal
Urban Decay high colour lip gloss are one my favourite lip glosses (I have 4 other shades). The lip gloss last really well on the lips, aren't drying and pigmented.

Collection lasting perfection concealer
1 Fair
This is a re purchase. I haven't used this in a long time. I bought it as the lighter shades in my concealer palette are running out and don't give me enough coverage. I bought this for highlighting under my eyes.

Collection pressed powder
03 Translucent
This is a re purchase day to day I wear this powder as it adds a slight coverage. This makes my face look more flawless and the powder is silky to touch.

Essence eyebrow stylist set
02 natural blonde style
When I was looking at the Essence stand this caught my eyes as I'm getting into doing my eye brows a lot more now. The colours in this set are ideal for all blonde hair types and it looks comparable to Benefit brow zing (except this doesn't come with a gel or tweezers). This set looks ideal for those just getting into doing their eyebrows (like me) and want something affordable to try. The set also contains three eyebrow stencils: regular brow, small brow and high brow.

Loreal Colour Infallible eye shadow
001 Time Resist White
039 Magnetic Coral
 003 Permanent Kaki
I already have one of these eye shadows and I thought I that I would try out some more. As I like the iridescent finish that they give. I picked a classic white shade, that will be ideal to use on the brow bone and tear duct area. A coral shade, as I want to in corporate more colour into my eye makeup and it will be ideal for summer. Kaki to match with the colour of my dress (featured further down in this post).

Revlon luxurious colour eye liner
507 Sparkling silver
I don't own a silver eye liner so I decided to buy one to try it out. I like the applicator that this eye liner comes with as it's ideal if you want to blend it out. Revlon is a brand that I haven't really tried much from.

Rimmel special eyes precision eye liner pencil
140 Burgundy
This eye liner shade reminded me of a Mac eye liner that was really popular and hyped about years ago ( I have forgotten the name of it). I like this eye liner as its still dark but a good alternative to black as it isn't as harsh on the eyes.

Essence lip liner
05 Soft Berry
06 Satin Mauve

14 Femme Fatale
07 Cute Pink
Essence lip liners are one of the best lip liners that I have tried. The formula is really nice, doesn't drag when you apply it on your lips, stops your lipstick from bleeding, isn't drying and lasts hours on the lips. I bought these four shades to complete the rest of my Essence lip liner collection. Also I found that some lip liners don't sharpen very nicely and can end up feeling rough on the lips. These lip liners sharpen nicely and still work the same afterwards. These in my opinion are comparable to the Urban Decay lip liners (which are another favourite of mine).

Jewellery

Pandora timeless elegance ring
This was a late Christmas present as I wanted this since November but it was sold out everywhere. Luckily when I went into Pandora they had this ring in my size (50) I love this ring as it is really pretty and a classic.

Clothes

Pink Coat

I bought this coat from a local shop that has just opened in my town ( I have looked online and the shop doesn't have a website) I already have a pink (fake) fur coat which I really like but it isn't very flattering to wear. Whereas this coat is really flattering to wear and is ideal to add a pop of colour to any outfit. Pink is also my favourite colour.

Kaki dress
I also bought this from the local shop in my town. I don't normally go for colours like this but I really like the shape of this dress as its a flattering style. This dress can be either dressed up or down.

Boots
Again these are also from the local store in my town. But when I was speaking to the lady she mentioned that Topshop also sells these boots (but are more expensive) I really like the heel detailing on these boots as I haven't seen anything like it before. The heel height on these boots make them dressy to dress up any outfit.

I hope that you have enjoyed reading this haul. I really like going out shopping. Do you love or hate going out shopping?

  1. My all time favourite concealer is the by far the Collection Lasting Perfection, it gives such a high coverage at a bargain price as well. That coat is so pretty, I have been trying to find one like this for ages with no luck x

Everything 5 pounds lookbook

Everything 5 pounds is an online retailer that sell clothes, shoes, jackets etc all for £5. There are so many choices on the website to pick from. I was given the opportunity to pick 9 items from the website to feature on my blog. With that I've decided to create a lookbook of all of the clothes. I am really happy with them all and ideal to dress either up or down. I decided to pick 7 dresses as they are mainly what I wear and are really versatile. Shoe wise I went with a classic black pair of heels and a black wedge.
For Reference I am 5ft 4 so the length of the dresses will differ on you depending on your height. All the dresses that I ordered are a size 8. All of the dresses are true to size and accurate. Same with the shoes they are true to size.
All the clothes in this post should still be available to buy online. The clothes on Everything 5 pounds tend to go out of stock quickly.

Max Factor: Smooth Miracle Primer and Miracle foundation review

I was kindly sent these products to review
Max Factor is such an iconic brand that has been around for years. I can remember Nana using it and even my Mam. When I got the chance to try out some Max Factor makeup I was really happy (infact I screamed inside) When I opened the package I was really happy with what was inside. The Smooth Miracle Primer and Miracle Touch Foundation. Both products claim to smooth the skin textures. Also, these products are advertised on TV and the models skin looks flawless. Anything that claims to make your skin look flawless and smooth I will try. As you all know I love a flawless, smooth and full coverage base.
Smooth Miracle Primer I 'secretly' hoped that this would have been one of the products in the package, as I really wanted to try it out. So when I saw this product I was thrilled. The bottom picture above is the primer using a small pump and on the right (which you can't see) it is blended out. I applied the primer all over my face and I…
